Behind FJCruiser.UK is Andrew Sacre, a specialist car dealer of modified Jeep Wranglers and convertibles, and one of only a few experts in importing the FJ from Japan into the UK.

Over the past decade, we have imported around 100 FJs, meticulously sourced from Japan where vehicles are typically lower mileage and well maintained. Andrew's knowledge and expertise of the FJ and the importing process have made him a trusted name for those looking to buy one of these distinct vehicles. From rock musicians to landowners to drivers who don't want to follow the crowd, the FJ is drawing up a unique following.

Assurance is guaranteed. FJCruiser.UK is approved by the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) and all vehicles are forensically checked by the Japanese Export Vehicle Corporation to validate the mileage and condition prior to shipping. Vehicles are also registered with the DVLA, with MOT, Toyota health check and full service for complete peace of mind.

Why choose an FJ? +
If you want popular and trendy, move on. The FJ isn't your typical 4x4 SUV. It's rare. It's reliable. Its distinctive styling offers personality and character you don't get in other vehicles. If you're bored with JLR and an admirer of retro-chic with ease of ownership and second-to-none reliability, then come on in - making the best, better!
Are FJs reliable? +
In a word, yes! They are the most reliable cars we've ever known (and we've dealt in a lot). Typically, a full service every year by the local Toyota main dealer (£300ish) and we've never had a problem more than a track-rod end (£100 fitted) — that's in approaching 100 FJs. You tend to find that people who experience issues are all based upon the USA cars that were left hand drive and made in the US from 2007–2014. These are NOT the same as the better made and refined Japanese right hand drive, and can't be compared.
How's the fuel economy? +
We'll be honest — it's not brilliant! Unmodified cars can deliver early twenties but as usual it depends upon how heavy your right foot is. But think about it; FJs aren't made for track days. Think arm on the ledge and a big fat smile on your face while you take in the appreciating glances from other road users.
Is rear vision compromised? +
Yes — due to its funky design with cool forward-opening rear doors and its wide C pillar, that's the compromise (and it's so worth it). Unlike the American cars, all our FJs are supplied with a rear camera that displays on the big dash screen (not rearview mirror) and rear parking sensors. A camera rear-view mirror can be cheaply added if required.
Where can I service my FJ? +
We recommend an annual full service at your local Toyota dealer at around £300 or just ask your local independent mechanic or garage to conduct an oil and filter service at MOT time. We'd always recommend that you ask them to buy genuine Toyota filters which are inexpensive.
How much is the road tax? +
£375 per annum, subject to annual RPI increases.
Are FJs ULEZ compliant? +
Yes!
Do FJs require specialist insurers? +
No, but avoid using comparison sites. As well as your existing insurers, Admiral and NFU are common options. Quotax is a specialist — ask to speak to Luke who is very helpful and will have seen your actual car.
Will my FJ hold its value? +
Absolutely. Production ended in 2018, so an increase in its value would be expected as they become rarer.

What about warranty? +
Your purchase is backed by our brilliant warranty cover. This isn't your normal cover! It follows on from our RAC BuySure Standard and covers ALL electrical and mechanical failures with a £2,500 ceiling and realistic hourly rate — and it's extendable with no charge for initial diagnostics. We'll help you with any issues (not that we get many) thus giving you that extra peace of mind. It includes a free year's RAC Assist too.
